I wish I'd seen this sooner, but iTunes is letting you download pilot episodes of different SciFi series for free right now, and guess what episode is included? That's right, Rose!! I guess it's time to start making posts for the next ep, but I thought I'd let everyone know. I for one am going to be very happy to have Nine forever on my iPod. :)

I actually did a rewatch/review of all of season one, but real life, other obsessions, etc. got in the way, so hopefully this will be the thing that gets me in gear to do the other episodes. Anyhoo, here are my thoughts after rewatching "Rose."

I actually think this is one of the weaker episodes of S1.  However, S1 is the only season in which I don't dislike any episodes; "Rose" is still pretty good, dumb bits and all.  Now, have some thoughts in handy bullet-point form!

I have to admit, ‘Rose’ isn’t my favourite introduction to the show-some of the exposition is clunky and Mickey turns into plastic and the photoshop is so bad that the BBC should be ashamed-and yet.... and yet, as soon as I put it on, I got really wrapped up in it. The End of the World is still probably my favourite introductory episode, but.... ( Read more... )
